Dr. Raza Bokhari Joins PAL-C Board

WASHINGTON D.C., February 20, 2008 – After years of service to the Pakistani American community, Dr. Raza Bokhari has formally joined the Pakistani American Leadership Center’s Board of National Directors.

PAL-C welcomes the addition of Dr. Bokhari who brings an enormous wealth of experience and talent to the organization as well as a strong background in Pakistani-American advocacy.

PAL-C Executive Director Taha Gaya commented, “I have personally worked with Dr. Bokhari during his tenure at PAKPAC and have found his knowledge of both Pakistani and American political and community affairs to be comprehensive. It is this foundation that makes his advice and support so invaluable.”

Dr. Bokhari has a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, and an Executive MBA from Temple University, Fox School of Business & Management.

He is the Chairman and CEO of Parkway Clinical Laboratories (PCL), a full service clinical reference laboratory, serving diverse clients in the mid-Atlantic region for over three decades.

He was elected as the National President for the Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) for the years 2006-07. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors of Temple University’s Fox school of Business and Management and on the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. 

In 2006 Dr. Bokhari was elected to the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Human Development Fund, a nonprofit international organization devoted to promoting primary education and basic healthcare in rural Pakistan. 

He is actively involved with the Franklin Institute as a member of the Board of trustees. 

Regional, national and international media outlets and newspapers, such as “The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Reporter, The Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Magazine, DAWN, Pakistan Link, NBC 10, ABC 6, CN8 Comcast newsmakers, PTV, PrimeTV, GEOTV”, etc, have either interviewed Dr. Bokhari or published his profile as an industry expert and community/civic leader.

Dr. Bokhari has also spoken before professional organizations and academic institutions, including the US Congressional Caucus on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

The Pakistani American Leadership Center (PAL-C) is a professional Pakistani-American advocacy organization with an office located on Capitol Hill.
