Mr. Arif Zaffar Mansuri Joins the Board of National Directors of PAL-C
Entrepreneur, Activist and Philanthropist Upgraded from Regional Director
Washington D.C., June 20, 2007: PAL-C has the honor to announce that Mr. Arif Z. Mansuri has upgraded his PAL-C membership from Regional Director to National Director.
Having joined PAL-C as a Regional Director in February of 2007, Mr. Arif Zaffar Mansuri formally joined the PAL-C Board of National Directors in June of 2007.
Commenting on his decision to join the PAL-C Board of Directors, Mr. Mansuri said: " I truly believe in thee mission of PAL-C. With a vision of building ties with the U.S. Congress through educating and mobilizing the Pakistani-American community, PAL-C has served a very important role. Creation of a sixty eight member strong Pakistan Caucus in the U.S. Congress is a first-ever and is a phenomenal achievement of PAL-C. Influencing the policy and the policy makers of the United States favorably towards Pakistan is PAL-C's focus and I am indeed, very proud to be a member of this pioneering organization!"
Mr. Mansuri is the President and Managing Editor of Pakistan Link, an English/Urdu newspaper printed weekly for the Pakistani-American community and distributed throughout the United States and Canada . He is also the President and CEO of Metals & More, Inc., a California-based importer and wholesaler of stainless steel. He is also the Director of Tubular Specialties Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer of washroom accessories and handrails/railing systems with a manufacturing plant in Los Angeles and warehouses at various locations across the U.S.A. He is also the Director of Huntman LLC, a California-based investment company with commercial and residential real estate holdings in California and Arizona.
Mr. Mansuri is an active member of several Pakistani-American and American associations, and has been instrumental in organizing many community events and fundraisers. He is the President of Council of Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce (CPACC), the Director of Pakistan American Leadership Center (PAL-C) and a Board Member of the Southern California Organization of Pakistani Engineers (SCOPE) and the Urdu Writers Society (UWS). He is also a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Multi Cultural Advisory Committee (MCAC) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Pakistan Advisory Council.
Mr. Mansuri holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from N.E.D. Engineering University, Karachi; a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas; and an MBA Degree from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. Mr. Mansuri is married to his wife of 18 years, Zaib-un-Nissa (Debbie) and has a five-year-old daughter, Jazmyn.
The Pakistani American Leadership Center (PAL-C) is the only organization that works on Capitol Hill for Pakistani Americans. It serves a dual purpose in educating both Members of Congress about important issues related to Pakistan and Pakistani Americans and the Pakistani American community about what activity is taking place on the Hill that is relevant to the community.
